MUCH THANKS WARREN

Loving your pets & showing them

Dear Warren

I've listened to you for years and thought you were a nut until I fell in love with my two "grandcats". Now I sing to them and play with them. We're happy and you were right all along!

Best Wishes, Ruth Z White Plains, NY..

Thanks to you, I can keep my wonderful cat

Hi Warren,

This is Jana from Daly City, California. Thanks to you, I can keep my wonderful cat. I wanted to thank you for the information you gave me a few months ago that helped me manage my 1.5 year old female Maine Coon’s clawing of furniture and rugs. The clawing is now down to about 5% of what it used to be, and I am grateful, because I don’t think I could have kept her unless I found a way to handle this problem.

You told me that cats are very tuned in to odors. The way I understood it, you said that my cat is actually spreading her scent when she is clawing something. You also mentioned that she needs to have new smells in her environment for stimulation.

I keep coconut oil in my home, and I had a thought that perhaps I could use the scent of the coconut oil to communicate to her that I don’t want her to scratch on the furniture or the rugs. So I spread the coconut oil in these areas, and she immediately avoided those areas completely. I used to have to spread more oil every couple of weeks, but now I don’t spread any oil at all, and now she scratches her scratching post! Perhaps once a week, at most, I catch her clawing the rug a little. However, she does it much less aggressively than before, and I don’t see any evidence on the rug of her clawing. I have not seen her claw the furniture at all since I used the coconut oil.

So, thank you, and I look forward to calling you next time I have a cat challenge.

Jana, Daly City, California..

Hugs & Kisses

Dear Warren, I have given my older cat Hugs & Kisses for about six months and I am very happy with the results. I have just reordered a large jar and I highly recomend it to all pet owners.

Sue K, Sonora, California..

I love what you are doing

Hi Warren, I love what you are doing for animals and for the people they own.:) I wish there were more people out there like you. I recommend you to EVERYONE I know, in the hopes that you will be around for a long, long time.

Lori, Washington D.C..

Thank you for your Position against crate training

Hi Warren. I just want to happily cheer you for your stance against crate training.

I trained all my dogs without crates, didnt even consider it because I never felt it necessary. But it seems these days everyone is advocating crate training.

I love my babies and want them to be happy and want to provide for them what they need, not just what is easiest for me.

It seems house training a dog is easier than training humans not to use crates for housetraining.

Thank you so much for helping the dogs.

Shera - Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.

Love Your Warmth

Just love your warmth and love and knowledge that comes through the air waves.

Logged on because of the pet food recall, but wanted to take this opportunity to say how great I think you are.

Thank You So Much

Thank you SO MUCH! We rescued a senior beagle hound mix named "Snoopy" a year ago February. He is a wonderful dog and has given us so much fun and love. He is a "senior" but so are we, so we match well.

He was on a hypoallergenic food which he really only ate to keep himself alive. So I changed him to Purina One for Senior Dogs after listening to your program and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! He just LOVES it and is doing so much better in every way! He is even shedding a LOT LESS, is more active and alert, and doesn't have the elimination problems he had before.

So thanks again, Warren!

Mrs. Janet Moore, Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Thank You

Just a short note to let you know that I love your radio show - I wish you were on tv on a regular basis again. Thanks for making my Saturday mornings fun. My three cats also thank you.

Deborah Lattman, Los Angeles.

Thank You

I've been using Hugs and Kisses since Warren first developed it, when it was only available mail order.

At the time, I had a little Keeshond, Shadow, who had all sorts of skin problems: flea-allergy dermatitis, hot spots, etc. Warren kept talking about a supplement he was developing to help skin problems, etc. When Hugs and Kisses FINALLY came out, I thought I'd try a container to see if it really was as good as Warren said.

Well, I saw results WITHIN 2 WEEKS!!! Shadow NEVER had a hot spot or flea problems again, and his coat was gorgeous until the end (I lost him September 8, 2001 at age 15 1/2).

I've been using Hugs and Kisses on all my dogs (gets a bit expensive for 50 lb Norwegian Elkhounds, but it's worth it!), and have recommended it to MANY, who also rave about the results. I now buy it at Petland Discounts.

Thank You!

Your book advice really works!

Hi Warren,

First let me say how much I appreciate your quick service. I ordered your book "How To Get Your Cat To Do What You Want" online a week ago Friday and it showed up the very next day! Such quick service is virtually unheard-of these days.

But best of all is that your advice in the book worked like a charm. The book was actually for my dear friend and neighbor, Nancy. Lola, one of her two cats, was having litter box problems, to the point where Nancy was seriously considering finding Lola another home. When she told me this, I immediately thought of your book and placed the order.

Long story short, Nancy followed your advice and the problem is now solved.

Thanks for all you do for us animal lovers, Warren. My two kitties, Scooter and Scamper, and I listen to your show on KRLA 870 in Los Angeles.

Phil Bernhardt, Los Angeles, California.

A Note of Thanks

Warren, I listen to your show on KOZE-AM on Saturdays at work. You sure do help a lot of pets put up with us humans. Thank you for all the great tips. I have a great dog that puts up with me, also 7 Love Birds & 1 parakeet, & a number of fish.

Nancy A., Lewiston, Idaho.

Thanks so much

Hi Warren,

Olive and I want to thank you so much for all the wonderful information you share with your listeners.

I called you about a year ago to ask you about a problem I was having with Olive digging up my plants inside the house. Your suggestions helped us to deal with this problem.

I enjoy listening to your show and visiting your website. Your book has been useful too.

I know you always say that a rescued animal will know it has been saved and will pay you back every day. This has certainly been true of my beautiful Olive. She is my best friend and I am so glad I found her.

Please continue to share your knowledge with all of us animal lovers who sometimes need some straigtening out in dealing with our furry friends.

Thanks so much, Wendy (and Olive the beautiful Border Collie)

Thanks So Much

Warren,

Thanks so much for your advice concerning my dog, Dakota's problem of going outside when I am on my way to work. I took your advide and she now stays in, except for relieving herself and going walkies.

I listen to you as often as possible. Thanks for your loving approach to pet ownership. Spoiling my pets is a joy.

Cathy and Dakota, San Francisco.

Thanks a Million

Dear Warren,

We have been listening to you for 20 years.

We just lost our wonderful cat on her 23rd birthday. When people ask how she lived such a long and wonderful life, I tell them that we fed her Purina ONE dry food and a particular canned food and listened to your radio advice.

Your common sense advice and gentle ways helped us through any problems we have encountered with Holly and her siblings Georgie (15 year old cat) and Iris (8 year old dog).

All of our pets are rescue animals and although we never called, we picked up many helpful hints along the way.

I know Holly has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and we'll see her there some day.

We adore you Warren!!!!

Jill and Tom, Roselle, NJ.

Your Fabulous Book

Hi Warren,

Just adopted a Yorkie Poo puppy over New Years. We have a 5 yr old adopted Min Pin, and 2 adopted kitties.

Used your wonderful book for training, our Min Pin, Mac (always used your Hugs and Kisses) too.

Now your book is by my side again, for our new guy, Ozzie.

Thank you Warren, for your compassion, and for your passion for our beloved pets. Also, for being the best source of really good and valuable information.

I always sing your praises to people, and tell them: "This is the man to listen to, not ....the Johnny-come-latelys."

Love, Brandes Family

Great to see you again Warren

Dear Warren,

It was great to see you again at the Cat Fanciers Association Cat Show in Madison Square Garden.

As promised, I'm sending you a photo of George from 1976. Since you trained him when he was puppy it had to be that year (my mug is in the photo too).

We live in Rockaway, if that is a memory jogger. You were very young but you did a great job even then! George did very well and he lived to be an old man of 16½.

My new kitty, Murphy, is doing fine too and has adjusted nicely. Your book HOW TO GET YOUR CAT TO DO WHAT YOU WANT is fabulous.

Keep up the good work,

- Love, Andrea. Rockaway NY.

Thank you from woman whose husband left for Afghanistan

Dear Warren,

I want to thank you so much for your wonderful words of advice.

My husband left Sept 11th for Afghanistan, and once again my 2 cairn terriers were getting depressed and moping around. I took your advice, we purchased new toys, dishes and puppy blankets for the pups before dad left.

When Sept 11 came around my husband gave the pups their new toys and the blanket (he slept with for a few days before hand.so that his scent was all over it).

For a few days after he left I was expecting the depression of the dogs, and it did come, but this time I took them on different walks, rides in Dad's truck. No picnics yet, but we are going to have a play date with my sister in laws pup soon.

The moping around only lasted a few days instead of a few weeks..so thank you thank you thank you..

Its going to be a long 8 months but we are going to be just fine. And the pups share and love the blanket that has ''Daddy '' all over it.

God bless you and all the work you do.

- Yours truly, Monique F. Cheshire CT.

Thank you!

Hello Warren,

I called your radio show with a question about my overweight cat (who is beside me now wanting to write something to you, too!) and you not only answered my question, but sent me your book, How To Get Your Cat To Do What You Want.

I took the book on vacation to read on the plane flight and found it very informative and entertaining. I received many positive comments about it as it (and I) went through the many baggage screening procedures, and also on the plane.

Thanks for your helpful information and great book!

- Judy B. Downey, CA.

P.S. My cat Boris says "Hello, and keep up the good work!"

Thank You

Hi Warren,

I have been a listener for years but first time caller today. Thanks for the advice about Bitter Yuck for my little girl Candy. She is quite unhappy with cone collar that was put on to prevent her from chewing out her stitches. I located it but a few minutes away and am off to get it right now.

If it works both Candy I will be very happy. In any event God bless you, Warren, for your wonderful work in behalf of our furry loved ones.

- Michael G., Tarzana CA.

Walking cats on leash

Dear Warren,

I'm just so thankful you recommend walking cats on leashes!

I try to walk 2 of our 4 indoor cats daily (1 of the others got away from me once too often, the other--an adopted feral--is still untouuchable after 4 yrs indoors).

People think I'm nuts, but they come when called to be leashed, and it's a peaceful time out in nature for me. It also gives them contact with a stray I've been feeding for a year and will try to incorporate into the household.

Thanks Warren for what you do.

- Michele D. Old Lyme, CT.

Thank you!

Hi Warren!

I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful show - I even enjoy the commercials that run during the week on KRLA. I've learned so much from listening to you, and the critters are lucky to have someone like you in their corner.

Here's a pic of my little one, Red. I rescued him 4 years ago, and he is the light of my life.

:-) Lara, Los Angeles.

Thanks and update on Tuxedo

Hi Warren,

Thank you for helping me get through the horrible decision of having to amputate Tuxedo's hind leg.

You were so kind on the radio and offered such hope that he would do fine as a tripod. It has been 4 weeks since his surgery and he is doing amazingly well. He is able to jump onto the sofa and parts of the kitty condo with ease and has totally ignored the 2 step stools I purchase and placed next to my bed and jumped onto the rattan nightstand instead.

Felix (his younger brother) was distant for a couple of weeks, never aggressive, but now they are back to sleeping together, licking each other's heads, and headbonking. Hopefully, soon Tux can chase Felix.

I hope my story gets to your listeners and helps them know that even if it comes to having a leg amputation our pets do OK and are still themselves and can lead a quality pet life.

Thanks again for everything you do!!!!

- Susan, Tuxedo, & Felix <^,,^> Los Angeles.
